NRG Innovations Steering Wheel Quick Release 2.5

The 2.5 Quick Release was NRG Innovations first update to the already successful 2.0 series, with the addition of a paddle extension to aid in the removal of the Steering Wheel. Also features many options that conventional ball-locking quick release system do not. The Generation 2.0 is specially engineered with raised sections to prevent the scratching and stretching of the hub while a self locking feature adds increased safety and functionality. Each unit is made from the highest quality aircraft grade aluminum and is anodized for maximum durability and finish.

Compatibility

These NRG steering wheel quick releases will connect up to most aftermarket steering wheels, including OMP, Sparco, Sabelt, and NRG steering wheels. We have noted that they don't work with the 5 bolt steering wheels from Nardi, but we have an  for that. They also work hand in hand with the NRG Short Hubs. It is specifically designed not to push your steering wheel out too far.

Install

The NRG quick release will sandwich between your steering column and short hub, and your aftermarket steering wheel. You'll install your short hub first, then attach one half of the NRG quick release to the short hub using the provided screws, and then the other half to you steering wheel.

Your aftermarket steering wheel will use six M5 x 0.8 thread screws that are at least 12mm long to attach to the quick release.
